The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Gonzalez gets a takedown into half guard.
Barkley wants to control but Gonzalez is keeping busy.
Gonzalez is taking a breather. Barkley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Barkley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Barkley is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Gonzalez pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barkley turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gonzalez off and cradles Barkley's limp body as Gonzalez celebrates with his corner.
