The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machiavelli will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yanar shoots in for a takedown but Machiavelli shows good takedown defense.
A slow jab from Machiavelli misses its intended target.
Yanar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Machiavelli counters with a nice uppercut.

Yanar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Machiavelli tries to avoid it but Yanar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Machiavelli to the ground. Machiavelli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Yanar connects with a nice short shot to Machiavelli's temple.

Yanar is trying to control the action in half guard but Machiavelli is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Machiavelli's corner calls for a 1-2. Machiavelli obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Yanar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yanar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Machiavelli moves in looking to clinch but Yanar pushes him off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Yanar has closed the distance and engaged Machiavelli in a clinch.

Machiavelli is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yanar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yanar's back!
