Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lino Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thiago Machado!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Machado avoids it really well and circles away.
Machado has taken the fight to the clinch.
Machado tries a body shot but Moon blocks it.
Moon jumps guard but Machado turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Moon jumps into guard, dragging Machado to the mat.
Moon keeping full guard, as Machado tries to pass.
Machado decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Moon, up you get!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Moon enables Machado to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Moon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Moon has his foot on Machado's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machado works his way back into a safe position though.

Machado stands up from Moon's guard - Machado perhaps looking for a knockout.
A head kick by Machado - that's a beauty! Moon is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Machado can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
