Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brice Walls! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jaye Wong! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wong throws a low kick but Walls avoids it. Wong doesn't succeed with the takedown and Walls counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Walls stands up from half guard. Walls gets in close and instigates a clinch. Walls breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Walls is looking to clinch. Walls darts in trying to clinch and Wong counters with a right hand to the body. Wong shoots in and drives through. Walls sprawls well. Walls has closed the distance and engaged Wong in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walls taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Walls is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Wong has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Walls avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Brice Walls has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaye Wong. Wong jumps into guard, dragging Walls to the mat.
Wong looks winded! Wong doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Wong is thwarting Walls's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wong looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Brice Walls has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Wong goes for a double leg but Walls avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Walls continues to drive forward. Walls breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wong is looking to clinch but Walls is avoiding it.

Wong tries for a takedown but Walls circles away easily and Walls moves into the clinch. We've been informed that Wong has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Walls just leaning against Wong, taking a breather. A bit of stalling here from Wong.
Walls misses with a hook to the ribs.
Walls is looking to control Wong's arms but Wong gets an underhook and turns him. Now Walls has his back to the cage. Walls breaks from the clinch.
Wong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Walls tries to close the distance and clinch but Wong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Walls comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Walls breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Walls or perhaps it was just good defense by Wong which made him look bad. Walls really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wong gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Walls. Walls is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice takedown defense from Walls. No joy for Wong on that attempt. Walls is looking to clinch but Wong is avoiding it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wong shoots in looking for a takedown but Walls manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wong throws a head kick but Walls moves out of range.

Walls using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wong has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
And that's the end of the fight! Brice Walls showed his dominance in that final round. Well Walls has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
