Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boudreaux Godeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Severi Turpaansaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Godeaux might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Battle Ready. Turpaansaaja has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpaansaaja throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turpaansaaja throws a left and a right that both miss
and Godeaux counters with an inside leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Godeaux. That's going to slow Turpaansaaja down.
Godeaux dips to his left and cracks Turpaansaaja with an uppercut!
Severi Turpaansaaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Turpaansaaja has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Godeaux moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Godeaux is trying hard to land a takedown here. Turpaansaaja sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Godeaux has Turpaansaaja pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Turpaansaaja manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Godeaux gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Turpaansaaja to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turpaansaaja stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Godeaux has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Turpaansaaja manages to get his head free but now Godeaux has transitioned to an armbar! Turpaansaaja grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Godeaux! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
