Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Curry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arthur Curry! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Curry throws a head kick that Tyson semi-blocks.
It looks like Rodrigo Tyson has been cut. Tyson throws a body punch but Curry moves out of range. Tyson missing with a left hand there. Curry was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Tyson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Curry counters with a leg kick. Curry misses with a series of wild punches.
Curry lands a big head kick that sends Tyson tumbling to the mat! Curry takes a step backwards and waves Tyson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Tyson is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tyson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Curry circles away quickly and effectively. Tyson takes a swing at Curry's ribcage but misses. Tyson misses with a looping left. Rodrigo Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Curry uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tyson. Curry connects with a solid leg kick. Tyson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Curry. Curry lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tyson's sensitive parts. Curry has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Curry lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tyson's sensitive parts. Tyson is breathing heavily. Tyson moves out of range of the body kick from Curry.

I was talking to Tyson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Curry doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Curry dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tyson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Curry buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Curry feints and then cracks Tyson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tyson down. Curry closes the distance and clinches. Curry is working Tyson over against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Curry.
Curry lands an uppercut. Curry pushes Tyson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Curry throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Curry lands a left hand.
Oh Tyson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodrigo Tyson's cut is getting worse. Curry drops Tyson onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Tyson is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Curry digs a right hand into Tyson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tyson's gas tank. Curry pushes Tyson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Curry. Nice body punch from Curry. Curry scores with a shot to the side of Tyson's head. Curry tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Curry throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Curry tries to work over Tyson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Curry stalling against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curry lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tyson backwards. Curry makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Curry blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Curry lands with a short shot to the head. Curry lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Tyson to his knees! Curry keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
