Newton comes into the arena with She Knows blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Christopher Newton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Christopher Newton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rajesh Koothrappali! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newton throws the left hand but Koothrappali avoids the punch easily. Christopher Newton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Newton throws a chopping leg kick but Koothrappali manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Newton slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Newton loads up on a big right hand but Koothrappali slips the punch. Newton missing with a left hand there. Koothrappali was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Newton feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Koothrappali's calf. Newton stuns Koothrappali with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Newton works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. This has been an exciting period of action! Newton swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Newton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koothrappali moves away. Koothrappali moves out of range as Newton strikes. Newton clinches with his opponent.
Newton lands a nice shot to the body. Koothrappali has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Newton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Newton softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A body shot lands from Newton.
Newton throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Koothrappali being controlled against the cage. Newton lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A short right from Newton on the inside. Newton lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newton is pressed up against the cage. Koothrappali has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Newton down to the mat. Newton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Newton lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koothrappali has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Newton finds it's way round the side to connect with Koothrappali's head. Newton tries to clinch up but Koothrappali circles away and keeps his distance. Newton tries to bum rush Koothrappali with a series of wild strikes but Koothrappali uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Good leg kick by Newton there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Newton comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Newton lands an overhand right.
Koothrappali is rocked! Newton punishes Koothrappali's body with a nice straight punch. Koothrappali is still on wobbly legs! Can Newton finish him? Koothrappali looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koothrappali circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Newton. Koothrappali falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Newton!
