Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Black!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores instigates a clinch.
Flores unloads a knee to the mid-section. Black lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Flores tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Flores blocks an uppercut.
Black is pressed up against the cage. Flores has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Black down to the mat. Black avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Flores shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juan Flores. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Flores.
Flores shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Flores tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Black swivels and escapes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Black keeps Flores at a distance using the push kick.
Black lands a leg kick that knocks Flores off balance momentarily.
Flores shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Black defends it nicely.
Flores is breathing heavily.
Black throws the left hand but Flores avoids the punch easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Black thumps Flores with a low kick.
Black sends Flores crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Black is motioning to the referee to let Flores up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Flores is rocked!
It looks like Juan Flores has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Black lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Flores up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Black from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Flores's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Black!
