Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitar Miric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monte Melkonian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Melkonian's choice of entrance music: Artsakh Music. Monte Melkonian is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitar Miric! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Monte Melkonian! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miric throws a lazy uppercut
and Melkonian counters by moving into the clinch. Miric has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Melkonian breaks from the clinch.
Melkonian takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Miric misses with a body shot.
A jab from Miric finds it's way through Melkonian's defenses. Melkonian has closed the distance and engaged Miric in a clinch.
Melkonian breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Melkonian takes one on the button. Miric misses with an uppercut. Melkonian saw that one coming. Miric pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Melkonian takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
This has been an exciting period of action! Melkonian slips a straight right by Miric. Miric throws a jab when Melkonian was well out of range. Miric ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Melkonian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Miric avoids it really well and circles away. Miric connects with the punch. Miric works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Miric stuffs the takedown. Miric lands a big uppercut and Melkonian crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Melkonian looks OK. Miric waves Melkonian back to his feet!
Melkonian is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miric throws a big shot that misses. Melkonian is still on wobbly legs! Can Miric finish him? Melkonian slips under a jab. Miric misses with a hook. Mitar Miric seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miric throws out a loose jab but Melkonian uses good head movement to avoid it. Miric scores with a body shot.
Miric misses with a straight right. Miric misses with a straight right. A slow jab from Miric misses its intended target. Melkonian steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Miric. Melkonian seems to have recovered his senses. Miric scores with a nice strike. Miric drops Melkonian with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Melkonian! Miric dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitar Miric! An out of breath Mitar Miric thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
