7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saulo Riberio! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riberio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Riberio slips the punch. Riberio tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. A lazy left from Johnson finds it's target. Johnson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Johnson scores with a nice right hand.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Riberio has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Johnson connects with a body shot that sends Riberio's belly button to the back. Riberio gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch. Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

I was talking to Johnson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Johnson cracks Riberio with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A nice combination there by Johnson.

Johnson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Riberio wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance. Johnson throws a right and a left that Riberio avoids nicely. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Riberio looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Johnson tries to land a front kick but Riberio steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Johnson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Riberio can do to turn this around? Johnson tests Riberio's chin there with a solid looking shot. Johnson throws a good cross that connects.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson throws out a loose jab but Riberio uses good head movement to avoid it. Johnson closes the distance and pushes Riberio back into the cage. Johnson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Riberio drags the fight down to the ground.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut. A left lands for Johnson. Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wooooo! Danga de danga de dang - Johnson scores with a four punch combination! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Riberio doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.

And that's the end of the fight! Craig Johnson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
