The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Oconnell misses the target.
Wade showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Oconnell.
Wade throws a series of punches but Oconnell avoids them all with ease.
Oconnell fails to land with a series of punches.
Wade blocks a head kick by Oconnell.
Wade takes one to the side of the head.
Oconnell swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wade.
Oconnell throws a head kick but Wade moves out of range.
Wade swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Oconnell counters with a two punch combo.
Wade works Oconnell's body with a nice hook.
Wade misses with a two punch combination.
Wade lands a glancing blow to the side of Oconnell's head.
It looks like Jake Oconnell has been cut.
Oconnell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wade throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Oconnell on the side of the head.
Oconnell is rocked!
Oconnell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wade throws out the jab.
Oconnell is still on wobbly legs! Can Wade finish him?
Oconnell drops his hands momentarily. Wade doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Oconnell staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Oconnell doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
