Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Gate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago Ferreira struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gate gets caught flat footed, as Ferreira shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Gate is bucking up trying to escape but Ferreira cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Gate bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gate got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferreira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gate has managed to get both his arms back between Ferreira's legs - danger averted.

Ferreira had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gate defends it easily.
Gate stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferreira swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gate drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gate jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ferreira has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gate should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ferreira has tightened it up now! Gate should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
