Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leonard Briggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ty Sanderson! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanderson looks to land a combination but Briggs avoids it well. A momentary lapse in concentration from Briggs enables Sanderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Briggs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sanderson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sanderson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Briggs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sanderson throws an elbow that misses. Briggs uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanderson's guard. Nice move by Briggs! Sanderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanderson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Sanderson is striking but Briggs is not phased and passes to half guard. Sanderson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Briggs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sanderson throws a strike from the bottom but Briggs uses the opportunity to take his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanderson tries to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Briggs is not going to allow Sanderson to sit and survive in this position. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Sanderson tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Briggs has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Sanderson is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Leonard Briggs!
