The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martinez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Martinez avoids the attempt from Swayze to control.
Swayze might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Martinez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Martinez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Swayze is looking to escape.
Martinez prevents Swayze from getting the reversal.
Swayze is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Swayze does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Martinez wants to get up but he can't break Swayze's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Swayze is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Martinez defends it well.
Martinez is looking to control Swayze's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Martinez avoid being mounted?

Martinez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Swayze regains half guard there - taking advantage of Martinez's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Martinez content to control rather than advance.
Martinez wants to free his trapped foot but Swayze is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Swayze is controlling Martinez's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Martinez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Swayze has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
