Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Badr Hari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Django Kinte! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinte takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kinte tries to bum rush Hari with a series of wild strikes but Hari uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kinte misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hari has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kinte lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hari circles away quickly and effectively. Kinte looks winded! Kinte will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Hari counters with an inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kinte has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hari. Hari closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kinte did well to prevent Hari getting side control. Hari controlling the action here. Hari drops an elbow to the side of Kinte's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hari is nestled in close to Kinte, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hari stalling. Hari landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hari in particular looking to stall. Hari scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hari has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hari controlling the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hari lands with a punch from half guard. Hari is nestled in close to Kinte, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hari scoring with strikes to the body and head. Hari seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kinte is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Hari is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Kinte is hurt! He's hurt bad - Hari fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Kinte from any more punishment! Congratulations to Hari! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Badr Hari! A relieved looking Badr Hari thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
