Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Magnus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Momo Sy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kamala Theme. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mirko Magnus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Momo Sy!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Sy.
A low kick from Magnus misses
and Sy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Magnus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sy throws a series of punches but Magnus avoids them all with ease.
A jab from Magnus does it's job there.
The fighters circling - Sy throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A head kick misses from Sy.
A big left from Sy misses.
Sy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Magnus's hands.
Sy's coach down at Basics -LOD- was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Sy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Magnus definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Magnus scores with a kick to the midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sy scores with a jab to the head.
Momo Sy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magnus swings away with a leg kick that misses.
No joy there for Sy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sy avoids the head kick by Magnus.

Magnus misses with a hook. Sy ducked under it nicely.
Sy falls off balance throwing a combination
and Magnus counters with a big head kick but Sy shrugs it off.
Magnus takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Magnus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sy jabs Magnus to the body, keeping him at a distance.

A punch lands to the side of Sy 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Magnus wants to get back to striking at distance but Sy won't allow it.

Sy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sy drops Magnus with a beautiful combination! Magnus stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sy is looking for the KO!
Magnus is rocked!
It looks like Mirko Magnus has been cut.
Sy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Oh Magnus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Magnus, as that shot connected.
Magnus throws a sloppy head kick and Sy moves out of range easily.
Magnus takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Magnus throws a shot to the body.
Magnus seems to have got his legs back now.
Magnus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Magnus walks into a stiff left hand from Sy.
Magnus misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A slow jab from Sy misses its intended target.
Magnus slips a jab and a cross from Sy.
Magnus throws a leg kick but Sy sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Magnus is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Magnus throws a head kick but Sy moves out of range.
Sy blocks a head kick by Magnus.
Sy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Magnus throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

That kick from Magnus tenderised Sy's leg. Sy is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sy checks a leg kick nicely.
A jab lands there for Sy.
Sy is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Magnus had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Magnus, right into the meat.

Magnus goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A lazy left from Sy finds it's target.

Sy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Magnus.
Magnus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Sy misses the target.
A low kick from Magnus is predictable there
and Sy counters with a nice body shot.
Sy misses the shot to the body.
Sy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Magnus defending well as Sy loads up on a big left hand.
Sy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Magnus scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Magnus throws a good cross that connects.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Momo Sy will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Sy throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Magnus counter with a right hand.
Magnus keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Magnus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Magnus.
Magnus throws a front kick aimed at Sy's knee but Sy avoids it well.
Sy jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Magnus.
Sy gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Magnus is trying to break the clinch but Sy has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Magnus's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sy breaks the clinch.
Sy lands with a nice combination. Magnus backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Magnus takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Magnus lands a big head kick that sends Sy to the canvas! Magnus follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
