Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sammer Bammer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nils Holgersson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holgersson slips under a jab.
Holgersson dives in and scores a takedown into Bammer's guard.
Holgersson drops back looking for a leg! Bammer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bammer manages to kick Holgersson off! Holgersson jumps back into Bammer's guard.
Bammer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Holgersson wants to control from the top but Bammer keeps moving.
Bammer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Holgersson defends well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holgersson connects with a nice short shot to Bammer's temple.

Holgersson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bammer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Holgersson uses his free foot to push down on Bammer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bammer.

Bammer is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Barracks - LOD, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Holgersson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bammer is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bammer and Holgersson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Holgersson tries to score with some ground and pound. Bammer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
You can see the frustration on Bammer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bammer throws a lazy right hand but Holgersson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Holgersson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bammer swivels and escapes.

Bammer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Holgersson has time to react.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bammer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Holgersson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bammer throws a shot from downtown. Holgersson moves away and avoids it.

Holgersson is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Bammer doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Holgersson crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Holgersson's bad books for that mishap!
