Picton has chosen some emo trash as his entrance music. Kevin Picton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Picton tries for a takedown but Smithson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Smithson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Picton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Smithson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Smithson gets to his feet - Picton follows without any prompting.
Kevin Picton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
