Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Cider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dino Clavette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clavette has chosen I,Deceiver as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Paul Cider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dino Clavette!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cider shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cider showed some decent athleticism there.
Clavette is trying to control but can't.
Cider passes the guard and advances to mount!
Clavette's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Cider controlling from mount.
Clavette is squirming around, avoiding Cider's attempts to control the action.
Clavette really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cider. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cider jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Clavette is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Clavette and Cider has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Clavette is looking to reverse the position.
Clavette is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Clavette struggling a bit here.
Cider tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Cider wants to control but Clavette is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Clavette's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cider takes a shot to the body in his stride.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cider decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clavette is trying to stand.
Cider is breathing heavily.
Clavette controlling the position for now.

Cider is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Clavette has managed to free his arm - good work.
Clavette works his way to full guard. Good work.
Cider trying to stand up but can't free himself from Clavette's guard.
Cider stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clavette swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Clavette pulls Cider in close to prevent any damage.

Clavette not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cider is looking to work some ground and pound but Clavette has wrist control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Clavette is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dino Clavette just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A bone on bone clash there as Cider blocks the leg kick.
Cider shoots in for a double leg but Clavette sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Clavette lands with an overhand left.

Clavette rushes Cider and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Clavette.

Clavette breaks from the clinch.

Clavette darts in and clinches Cider up against the cage.

Clavette pulls Cider into guard.
Clavette not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clavette keeping full guard, as Cider tries to pass.
Cider wants to control from the top but Clavette keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dino Clavette will probably get the nod.

Clavette tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cider swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Clavette takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Clavette gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Clavette is looking to stand up but Cider isn't so interested in that idea.
Clavette manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cider manages to get himself to full guard.
Clavette stays in close to Cider's body and controls the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cider is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Clavette wants to get back to his feet.

Clavette preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Cider is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Clavette defends it well.
Cider wants to pass the guard but Clavette is defending well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Clavette keeping moving, preventing Cider from controlling successfully.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Cider has gone for a leg lock! Clavette slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cider's guard.

Clavette avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cider working a defensive guard here.
Clavette sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cider's guard.
Clavette wants to stand up but Cider is controlling the position.

Clavette stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Clavette swats away the attempt to clinch by Cider.

Clavette closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clavette lands in his opponent's guard.
Clavette seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Cider escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Clavette gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Clavette postures up.
Clavette lands a couple of digs.
Cider working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Clavette.

Clavette content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Cider being controlled here, momentarily.
Clavette won't allow Cider to get back to his feet.
Clavette sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Cider is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Clavette controls from within his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dino Clavette showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Clavette has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cider is trying to keep an underhook but Clavette manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Cider won't allow Clavette to pass to mount.

Cider moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Cider uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Cider is looking to reverse the position.

Clavette grinds an elbow into Cider's temple.

Cider is not content to let Clavette control the position.
Cider manages to work his way to half guard, despite Clavette's best efforts.
Clavette is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cider is pressing down on Clavette's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Cider wants to sweep here but Clavette controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cider is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cider throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Clavette escapes and throws Cider's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Cider is letting Clavette control him for a moment.
Cider is trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cider trying to remain calm as Clavette controls from the top position.
Cider tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Clavette takes a little break here. Cider wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Clavette lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cider down.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cider fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A jab from Clavette does it's job there.
Clavette lands a jab-cross combination.
Clavette misses with a jab, cross combination.
Clavette misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cider gets a clinch.
Clavette wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Cider has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Clavette clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Clavette just trying to survive but Cider is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Cider trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Cider looking for the RNC.
Paul Cider has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Clavette breaks Cider's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Cider is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cider has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clavette can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Dino Clavette.
Well Clavette has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
