Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Jass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugh Jass is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stan Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hugh Jass!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jass throws a head kick that half lands.
Lee lands with an uppercut that bounces Jass off the cage and back into range.
Lee swings widly with a right hand
and Jass counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Jass uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jass enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jass manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jass is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well.

Jass working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jass for as long as he can get away with.
Jass tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

We're going to have a standup here because Stan Lee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Lee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jass stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Lee sizes up Jass with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
