Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, RR Gabaldon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Christ!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Christ darts in looking for a takedown but Gabaldon gets double underhooks and turns Christ into the cage.
Gabaldon is looking to break free of the clinch but Christ has double underhooks.
Christ is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
RR Gabaldon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Christ.
Gabaldon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Christ drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Christ is working for takedown but Gabaldon is calmly controlling the position for now.

Gabaldon breaks the clinch.
Christ dives in and grabs Gabaldon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gabaldon pushes down on Christ's head and hops out.

George Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Christ manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gabaldon on his heels. He'll look to pass Gabaldon's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Christ drops back looking for a leg! Gabaldon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gabaldon manages to kick Christ off! Christ jumps back into Gabaldon's guard.

Gabaldon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Christ is controlling him.
Christ is pushing down on Gabaldon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gabaldon is fighting to maintain full guard but Christ has managed to sneak the leg through.

Christ is looking for a kimura but Gabaldon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Christ to get the leverage.

Gabaldon wants to get back to full guard.

Christ is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Christ looks winded!

Christ seems to be working for a kimura but Gabaldon defends the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Christ on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Christ walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A right-left combo lands from Gabaldon.
Gabaldon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Christ back to the cage. Gabaldon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Gabaldon stuffs the takedown attempt from Christ. Christ gets slowly back to his feet.

Gabaldon connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Gabaldon punishes Christ's body with a nice straight punch.
Christ is breathing heavily.
Christ changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gabaldon tries to avoid it but Christ manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gabaldon to the ground. Gabaldon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
RR Gabaldon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Christ.
Christ takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Christ fails to land the takedown.
Gabaldon lands with a cross.
Christ takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Gabaldon ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gabaldon lands with an uppercut that bounces Christ off the cage and back into range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gabaldon throws a combination. Christ tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That kick from Gabaldon tenderised Christ's leg. Christ is trying to keep his angry face on.
A jab lands there for Gabaldon.
Gabaldon works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
RR Gabaldon is winning the standup battle so far.
Gabaldon lands a leg kick that knocks Christ off balance momentarily.
Christ has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gabaldon.
Christ is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gabaldon.
Christ tries to move into range but Gabaldon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gabaldon.

Gabaldon feints and then cracks Christ's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Christ down.

Gabaldon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Gabaldon digs a good body shot into Christ's ribs.
Gabaldon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Gabaldon punishes Christ's body with a nice straight punch.
Gabaldon stuns Christ with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Christ takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gabaldon's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gabaldon duly obliges.
Christ on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gabaldon. Gabaldon obviously looking to wear him down.
Gabaldon connects with the punch.

Gabaldon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Christ looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gabaldon throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gabaldon clobbers Christ with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Gabaldon.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Christ takes one on the button.
Gabaldon throws a good cross that connects.
Gabaldon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Christ backs up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

RR Gabaldon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gabaldon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Christ wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gabaldon, who protects the arm well.

Christ working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Christ takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Christ has an Americana. Gabaldon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Christ is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Christ hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). George Christ!
