Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Hale looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Hale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Simmons to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Simmons with a nice head shot there.
Simmons stands and throws Hale's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hale is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Simmons looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Simmons looks up at the clock and then as Hale takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Simmons smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Simmons has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hale!
Oh Hale is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Simmons has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Simmons has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hale's face.
Simmons tries to control but Hale wriggling away.
Hale tries to lock up and control but Simmons gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hale's coaches at 11th Planet Fitness ($350/wk) have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A big strike lands for Simmons! That's really hurt Hale and he's turned his back - Simmons keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Simmons jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brett Simmons!
After winning the bout, Brett Simmons thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
