Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demein Colette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Barraclough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colette comes to the cage accompanied by progenies of the great apocalypse. Barraclough has chosen MGMT - Electric Feel as his entrance music. Demein Colette has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Demein Colette! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Barraclough! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barraclough tries a head kick but it misses.
Colette has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barraclough finds it's way round the side to connect with Colette's head. Barraclough looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Colette pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Colette throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Colette moves out of range as Barraclough throws a body kick.
Barraclough fails to land the takedown. Colette misses with a looping right. Barraclough lands a nice shot to the body.

and Barraclough counters with a lovely straight right hand! Barraclough looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Colette! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barraclough throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Barraclough postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Colette looks a forlorn figure.
Barraclough has control of Colette's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Colette regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Colette is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Barraclough dominating with strikes here. Barraclough has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colette is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Barraclough cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Barraclough controlling from the full mount. Colette blocking the ground and pound. Barraclough breaks from Colette's wrist control and lands an elbow. Barraclough lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Barraclough prevents Colette from getting the reversal. Barraclough tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Barraclough in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Barraclough landing strikes from the mount and Colette is in trouble! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Colette taking shots to the head. Barraclough punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colette throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Colette on the wrong end of a nice jab. Barraclough lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Barraclough misses with a double jab.

and Barraclough counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Barraclough trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mike Barraclough has got the better of the ground game so far. Barraclough wants to control from the top but Colette keeps moving. Barraclough has gone for a leg lock! Colette slips out almost immediately though and dives into Barraclough's guard. Barraclough is trying to control the position but Colette postures up. Barraclough manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Barraclough wants to control the pace but Colette is squirming around nicely. Colette is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Colette tries to lock up and control but Barraclough gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Colette in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Barraclough landing strikes from the mount and Colette is in trouble! Barraclough connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barraclough fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Colette keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barraclough looking to control but Colette is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Colette is desperately trying to improve his position but Barraclough has a good base and remains in mount. Barraclough avoids the attempt from Colette to control. Barraclough connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Barraclough wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Colette, who protects the arm well. Colette is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Barraclough in side control, throwing shots but Colette defends. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barraclough content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Barraclough is looking to take a break and control but Colette is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Barraclough showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Colette throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barraclough shoots in for a takedown but Colette shows good takedown defense. Colette connects with a single shot there. Barraclough is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Demein Colette is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Barraclough moves out of range of the body kick from Colette.
Barraclough shoots for a takedown but Colette saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Colette throws a leg kick and Colette takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Barraclough lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Colette scores with a spinning back kick! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Colette cracks Barraclough with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A shot to the body from Colette misses and Barraclough makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colette throws a lazy head kick and Barraclough counters with a takedown into side control. Barraclough working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Barraclough lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. You can see the frustration on Colette's face as Barraclough controls the position. Barraclough wants to lay and pray for a moment but Colette keeps working. Colette parries the strikes from Barraclough easily there. Barraclough is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Colette to escape.

Colette won't allow Barraclough to sweep him here. Barraclough working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Colette doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Colette manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Colette wants to control from the top but Barraclough keeps moving. Colette decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Demein Colette has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Demein Colette is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Barraclough lands a nice hook to Colette's body. Colette takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Colette dodges the punch combination from Barraclough.
Colette closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A knee to the head by Colette.
Still in the clinch, Barraclough scores with a nice short uppercut. Barraclough breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Colette misses with a kick to the body enabling Barraclough to counter with a crisp jab. Colette takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Barraclough scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Barraclough tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barraclough has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Colette is not content to let Barraclough control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Barraclough comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Barraclough winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
