Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Algot Uggla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 16 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Erik Andersen! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andersen connects with a body shot that sends Uggla's belly button to the back. Andersen clinches up against the cage. Uggla pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Andersen landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Andersen obliges. Andersen landing knees to the body.
Andersen is working Uggla over against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Andersen works on Uggla's body with a couple of short punches. Uggla jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Andersen walks away with a smile on his face. Uggla gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Uggla on the wrong end of a nice hook. Andersen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Uggla's sensitive parts. Andersen connects with a jab. Uggla moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Andersen lands a nice looking body shot.
Andersen stuns Uggla with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Andersen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Uggla is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Uggla throws a wild hook but Andersen just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Uggla gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Andersen raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Erik Andersen! Jumping up and down and very excited, Jon Erik Andersen waved his t-shirt featuring Milwaukee's Best 160 's logo in front of the cameras. The defeated Algot Uggla had this to say: '*spits out blood* haven't you got something better to do than beating up 18-year olds in QFC?!'.
