Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Caleb Huber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Porter! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huber staying out of range there. Porter scores with a punch to the head. Porter misses the shot to the body. Porter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Porter, as that shot connected.
Porter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Huber cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Porter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Huber manages to avoid it. Porter tries to sprawl but Huber drives through with a takedown into half guard. Porter is looking to escape. Huber will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Porter tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Huber manages to move to mount!
Huber landing strikes, looking to finish! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Huber lands a nice shot to the head. Porter tries to hold on but Huber postures up. Porter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Porter throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huber landing punches. Huber looking to isolate an arm here. Porter doesn't see it coming and as Huber extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Huber!
