Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freeman Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Rogers has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Freeman Chavez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freeman Chavez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Rogers! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers wants to clinch. A slapping leg kick lands for Rogers.
Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chavez tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chavez to the ground. Chavez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rogers should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Rogers moves out of range as Chavez strikes. Chavez throws a sloppy head kick and Rogers moves out of range easily. Chavez tries to keep at a distance but Rogers has taken the fight into the clinch. Rogers prevents a body shot from Chavez. Chavez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rogers avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Chavez dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Rogers looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Chavez misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rogers.
Rogers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chavez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers tries to pull guard but Chavez forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Freeman Chavez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Rogers. Chavez slowing the pace effectively. Chavez is trying to trip Rogers. Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chavez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Freeman Chavez. Chavez slips a jab and a cross from Rogers.
Steven Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers tries to clinch but fails miserably and Chavez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Rogers looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chavez seems to be looking for submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Chavez controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Freeman Chavez dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Chavez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rogers's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chavez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chavez drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Chavez seems to have locked his on tight now - Rogers screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Chavez, as he picks up the win!
