Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erin Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Andersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andersson has chosen Enter the sandman as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Erin Padilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonathan Andersson! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andersson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Padilla scores with a takedown into Andersson's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Padilla with a nice head shot there. Padilla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Padilla throws a big elbow that misses. Padilla throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Padilla slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Padilla prevents Andersson from getting back to his feet. Andersson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Padilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Padilla throws a big elbow that misses. Padilla missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Andersson wants to get back to his feet but Padilla is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padilla in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Padilla controlling from the top position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Andersson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Padilla looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Andersson is fending him off so far but Padilla persists. Nope, Andersson circles away and we're back to standing. An inside leg kick from Andersson misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Padilla tries to close the distance and clinch but Andersson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Padilla closes the distance and clinches. Andersson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Padilla moves out of range of the strikes. Andersson throws a series of punches but Padilla avoids them all with ease. Andersson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Padilla checks a leg kick. Andersson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Erin Padilla has been cut. Andersson looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Padilla closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Padilla throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Padilla with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Padilla working over Andersson with some ground and pound. Andersson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Padilla controlling the action here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Padilla's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We're going to have a standup here because Erin Padilla wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sloppy strikes from Andersson. Those never looked like landing. Padilla moves in looking to clinch but Andersson pushes him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Padilla walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Padilla looks for a takedown but Andersson sprawls well. Andersson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Padilla circles away quickly and effectively. Andersson tries a head kick but it misses.

A combination from Padilla does no damage. Padilla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Andersson fails to land with a series of punches.
Padilla shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Andersson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Padilla missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Andersson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Erin Padilla will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Erin Padilla's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Andersson misses with the combination.
Andersson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Andersson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Erin Padilla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Andersson, right into the meat.
Andersson drops Padilla with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Padilla! Andersson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonathan Andersson! A relieved looking Jonathan Andersson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
