Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Denny Spears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitaliy Sus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vitaliy Sus has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Denny Spears! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vitaliy Sus! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spears tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Sus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sus is looking to clinch but Spears is avoiding it.
Spears gets a clinch. Spears wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sus wants the takedown. Spears is fighting it off but Sus persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Spears's guard against the cage. Sus wants to pass the guard but Spears is keeping the position. Spears is pulling down on Sus's head to control his posture. Spears's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sus trying to control the position from guard on top but Spears is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Denny Spears. Sus cracks Spears with a good jab. Horrible takedown by Sus or perhaps it was just good defense by Spears which made him look bad. Sus's jab looks to have found its range, popping Spears under the eye. Spears fails with the takedown. Sus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Spears avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spears tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Spears throws a leg kick but Sus sees it coming and moves out of range. Spears ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sus moves away. Sus tries to clinch but Spears moves out of range. Spears defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sus. Denny Spears has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vitaliy Sus. Sus fails with the takedown and Spears counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Sus slows down the pace here.
Spears prevents Sus from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Spears pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spears moves in looking to clinch but Sus pushes him off. Sus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Spears counters by clinching up. Sus tries to land knees in the clinch but Spears avoids the damage to the body. Spears working aggressively here.
Spears gets underhooks to prevent Sus's takedown attempt.
Sus looks winded! Spears is trying to trip Sus. He has hold of a leg but Sus is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Spears persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Spears with a nice head shot there. Spears with a nice head shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spears content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Spears stands up over Sus, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Spears drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sus dives on top into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sus being controlled here momentarily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denny Spears dominated that round. That's time! Spears's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Spears shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Spears was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Spears working the body and head with strikes. Sus dodges the ground and pound from Spears. You can see the frustration on Sus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Spears tries for a kimura but Sus is defending well. Spears has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spears is looking to clinch but Sus is avoiding it.
Spears moves out of range of the body kick. Sus tries to clinch up. Spears circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sus throws a combination. Spears tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Spears falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sus counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Spears throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sus tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Spears is in Sus's guard. Spears missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sus has a closed guard, preventing Spears from standing up. Sus working a defensive guard but Spears manages to pass into side control anyway.
Sus is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spears stands up and we're back to a striking position. Sus shoots in and drives through. Spears sprawls well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spears checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Sus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spears is fending him off so far but Sus persists. Nope, Spears circles away and we're back to standing. Spears misses with a head kick.
Spears shoots in for a double leg but Sus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Spears tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Vitaliy Sus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sus misses with a takedown attempt and Spears holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Denny Spears has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vitaliy Sus.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spears has clasped his hands together around Sus's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Spears stands up. Spears throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sus. Spears has closed the distance and engaged Sus in a clinch.
Spears wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sus has him pressed against the cage. Sus wants to break free but Spears has control.
Spears breaks the clinch.
Spears has Sus up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sus gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Spears.
Spears turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Spears manages to end up in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Spears is trying to get an arm triangle but Sus is defending well. Spears has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sus is looking for a sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spears stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denny Spears dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Spears tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sus tries for a takedown but Spears circles away easily and Spears counters with a leg kick. Sus goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Spears gets a clinch. Sus prevents the takedown attempt.
Spears is defending well against a takedown attempt. Sus looking to stall.
Sus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sus is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Spears has denied him. Spears jumps guard and drags Sus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Spears keeping moving, preventing Sus from controlling successfully. Sus has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Spears to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sus is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Spears pulls down on the head and he's put Sus to sleep! This one is all over!
