The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muntz throws a nice inside leg kick.
A left lands for Clavet.
Muntz tries to bum rush Clavet with a series of wild strikes but Clavet uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Muntz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Clavet looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Clavet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Muntz tries to avoid it but Clavet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Muntz to the ground. Muntz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Clavet throws a right and a left that both miss.
Clavet scores with a jab to the head.
Clavet dives in for a single leg takedown but Muntz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Muntz misses with a punch on the inside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Clavet wants the takedown. Muntz is fighting it off but Clavet persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Muntz's guard against the cage.
Muntz wants to get back to his feet but Clavet is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Muntz has his feet on Clavet's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Muntz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clavet was well out of range. Poor timing from Muntz.
Clavet looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Muntz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Muntz keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Clavet fails to land with a series of punches.
Clavet shoots for a takedown but Muntz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nelson Muntz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deano Clavet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Clavet walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Clavet just misses with a punch to the body.
Good leg kick by Muntz there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The fighters circle momentarily. Muntz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Clavet chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Muntz can pounce on him.

Muntz lands a nice hook to Clavet's body. Clavet takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Clavet on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Clavet shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Clavet takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Clavet is still on wobbly legs! Can Muntz finish him?
Muntz feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Clavet sprawling to the canvas! Clavet rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Muntz finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

In his post fight interview, Nelson Muntz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
