The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambert tries to clinch but Garcia is having none of it.
Garcia misses with a wild body shot.
Lambert tries to bum rush Garcia with a series of wild strikes but Garcia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lambert moves to clinch but Garcia breaks away
and Garcia counters with a low kick, right behind Lambert 's knee.
Lambert misses with a wild combination.
Garcia is looking to clinch.
Garcia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lambert to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lambert is stalling in the full guard.
Lambert has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Garcia is proving hard to escape from.
Garcia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lambert on the ground.

Garcia is working an open guard so Lambert takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Alan Lambert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lambert fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Garcia to the ground. Lambert is now in Garcia's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lambert not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Garcia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lambert feints and as Garcia raises his hands in defense, Lambert changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Garcia looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lambert is one step ahead there.
Lambert controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Lambert won't allow Garcia to get back to his feet.
Lambert engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alan Lambert.
Lambert takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lambert darts in looking for a takedown but Garcia gets double underhooks and turns Lambert into the cage.
Wyatt Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Lambert.
Garcia tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lambert avoids it.
Lambert is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Lambert feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lambert slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lambert decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lambert shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lambert's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lambert lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Garcia!

and Garcia counters with a thumping low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lambert tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Garcia swivels and escapes.

Alan Lambert is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Lambert has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
