Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazquez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Never Let It Die. Juan Velazquez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Velazquez throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target.
Jones moves away from the strike by Velazquez.
Jones takes a swing at Velazquez's ribcage but misses.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Velazquez saw that one coming.
Velazquez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Velazquez lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Velazquez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Velazquez.
Nice uppercut lands for Velazquez. That snapped Jones's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Jones is looking to score with low kicks.
Jones throws a right and a left that Velazquez avoids nicely.
Velazquez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Velazquez thuds a left hand into Jones's body.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Velazquez catches Jones napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Jones to the canvas!
Velazquez gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Velazquez is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Velazquez dips to his left and cracks Jones with an uppercut!
Jones is rocked!
Velazquez cracks Jones with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Jones tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Velazquez pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Jones is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juan Velazquez!
