The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vesala throws a nice looking combination but Carmelo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Timo Vesala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carmelo misses with a takedown attempt - Vesala sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vesala scores with a hook to the body. Carmelo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Vesala has hold of Carmelo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Carmelo seems comfortable defending it but Vesala has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Carmelo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Carmelo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Vesala couldn't care less - he's delighted!
