The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leigertwood blocks a jab.

Leigertwood drives through and clinches with Gyu against the cage.

Leigertwood has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gyu uses from the top position.
Leigertwood wants to sweep but no luck.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Leigertwood holds on and takes a little breather.

Gyu drops back, looking for a kneebar! Leigertwood looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Leigertwood looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Leigertwood!
Gyu is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Leigertwood off and has taken his back!
Gyu doesn't have the hooks in and Leigertwood manages to turn into his guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Leigertwood in particular looking to stall.

Leigertwood is working for a guillotine from mount but Gyu frees his head quite easily.
Leigertwood wants to control the pace but Gyu is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leigertwood takes Gyu's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Gyu is in trouble.

Leigertwood is persistently looking for the submission but Gyu is defending it well.

Leigertwood is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Gyu has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Leigertwood has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Gyu taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Leigertwood doesn't care though - he's delighted!
