Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vlad Didenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dirk Walters!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Didenko has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Didenko there as he acknowledges the shot.
Walters lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Didenko backs up against the cage.


It looks like Vlad Didenko has been cut.

Didenko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Didenko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Walters has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Didenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Didenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Didenko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Walters is looking to regain half guard here but Didenko keeps moving and retains side control.

Didenko looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Walters wants to improve his position but Didenko is controlling well.

Didenko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Walters defends it well.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Didenko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Walters defends well and Didenko ends up having to push Walters into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Walters lands an uppercut.
Didenko is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Walters to keep the fight standing.

Didenko pulls Walters into guard.

Walters is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Didenko has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Walters is looking to defend but Didenko has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Walters! Didenko pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Walters taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vlad Didenko!
