Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Janiuz Thieago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rauno Tynkkynen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janiuz Thieago could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rauno Tynkkynen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Janiuz Thieago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rauno Tynkkynen! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thieago misses with a combination
and Tynkkynen counters with a takedown into side control. Thieago tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tynkkynen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Thieago tries to improve position but can't. Tynkkynen controlling the position. Thieago is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Tynkkynen working away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tynkkynen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tynkkynen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Thieago is trying to improve his position. A lull in the action here as Tynkkynen stalls from top position. Tynkkynen scores with punches from side control. Thieago throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tynkkynen decides to take the fight back to the feet. Tynkkynen has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thieago is landing a low percentage of strikes. Tynkkynen shoots in but Thieago avoids the takedown attempt easily. Thieago tries to clinch and Tynkkynen counters with a single leg into guard. Thieago didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Thieago being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tynkkynen throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thieago working a defensive guard here.
Tynkkynen content to stall in guard here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rauno Tynkkynen. No luck with that takedown attempt from Tynkkynen. Janiuz Thieago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tynkkynen wants to slow Thieago down by chopping away at his legs. Tynkkynen stuffs the takedown attempt from Thieago. Thieago gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tynkkynen misses with a wild combination.
Thieago throws a body punch but Tynkkynen moves out of range. Tynkkynen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thieago as he avoids it easily. Janiuz Thieago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rauno Tynkkynen. Thieago clinches up with Tynkkynen and pushes him back against the cage. Thieago tries for a takedown. No joy.
Tynkkynen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thieago tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tynkkynen swivels and escapes. Thieago is breathing heavily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thieago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tynkkynen moves away. Nice shot by Tynkkynen.
It looks like Janiuz Thieago has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tynkkynen has a takedown stuffed. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rauno Tynkkynen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Janiuz Thieago's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Thieago throws a series of punches but Tynkkynen avoids them all with ease. Thieago looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tynkkynen throws a right hand that Thieago ducks under and follows up with a left that Thieago also avoids with ease. Thieago looks for a takedown but Tynkkynen sprawls well. Tynkkynen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thieago.
Janiuz Thieago is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tynkkynen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Tynkkynen throws a series of punches but Thieago avoids them all with ease. Thieago takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Thieago avoids a punch combination nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Tynkkynen!
Tynkkynen misses with the combination.
Tynkkynen scores with a hook to the body. Thieago takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tynkkynen stalks Thieago and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thieago's face. Thieago staggers backwards, shaken. Tynkkynen waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Thieago. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Thieago to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Thieago is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tynkkynen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Oh Thieago is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Thieago seems to have got his legs back now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rauno Tynkkynen. Tynkkynen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thieago stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tynkkynen fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Thieago to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Thieago looks to clinch but Tynkkynen throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Thieago taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Rauno Tynkkynen! A relieved looking Rauno Tynkkynen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
