Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Coogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sarmith Creston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Coogan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Coogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sarmith Creston!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creston throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Coogan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Creston tries to bum rush Coogan with a series of wild strikes but Coogan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
An inside leg kick from Creston misses.
Coogan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Creston counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Coogan clobbers Creston with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Coogan throws a looping overhand right but Creston ducks down to avoid it.
Creston misses with a body kick.
Creston looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Creston avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Coogan blocks the body kick.
Coogan dives in and grabs Creston's left leg, looking for a takedown. Creston pushes down on Coogan's head and hops out.
Creston swats away the attempt to clinch by Coogan.
Coogan tries to close the distance and clinch but Creston swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Creston throws a leg kick but Coogan sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Creston misses with a wild combination.
Coogan connects with the punch.
Coogan moves out of range as Creston throws a body kick.
Coogan on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Coogan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Creston as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Coogan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Creston turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from Creston.
Coogan throws an off balance right hand

and Creston counters with a nice double leg into side control. Coogan won't be happy with that.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Creston tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Creston creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Coogan avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Creston.

Creston working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Coogan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Creston makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Creston.

Coogan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Creston preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Coogan trying to control the position from guard on top but Creston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Coogan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Coogan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Coogan wants to control from the top but Creston keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Coogan stands and throws Creston's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Creston tries to improve position but can't.
Coogan landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Coogan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Creston sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Coogan tries for a kimura but Creston is defending well.

Coogan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Creston knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Coogan is trying to get an arm triangle but Creston is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sarmith Creston dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Coogan dodges the punch combination from Creston.
Creston throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Creston misses with a straight left.
Coogan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Creston counters with a nice kick to the body.
Creston tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Coogan is able to avoid easily.

Creston looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Creston prevents Coogan from improving his position.
Coogan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Creston.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coogan tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Coogan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Coogan has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Creston has passed into side control.
Creston is trying to move to mount but Coogan reverses beautifully and ends up in Creston's guard.
Creston is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Creston throwing shots but Coogan is blocking nicely.
Creston is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Coogan is looking for a sweep. Creston is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Coogan works his way to full guard. Good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Creston drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Creston seems to have locked his on tight now - Coogan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Creston, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Sarmith Creston!
After winning the bout, Sarmith Creston thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
