Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Plainview (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: It's A Fight. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Plainview!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andy Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plainview swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Plainview misses with a wild body shot.
We've been informed that Johnson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Plainview ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Plainview avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Johnson tries to clinch but Plainview moves out of range.

Plainview gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch.

Johnson tightens his grip and picks Plainview up, before dumping him to the ground. Plainview manages to land in guard.

Plainview looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Johnson has picked Plainview up and slammed him! Plainview can't keep hold of the triangle and Johnson manages to pass to side control!

Johnson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Plainview rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Johnson's guard! Nice work there by Plainview!

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Plainview is holding Johnson down, trying to stall.

Plainview tries to buck Johnson off but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson throws a strike aimed at the side of Plainview's head but Plainview avoids it well.

A close round but Andy Johnson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Plainview tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.

Johnson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Plainview pulls his leg out and moves away.
Daniel Plainview has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Johnson.

Plainview is looking to wear down Johnson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Plainview does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Plainview goes for a double leg but Johnson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Johnson continues to drive forward.
Plainview changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Johnson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Plainview has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Plainview escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daniel Plainview will probably get the nod.

Plainview stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Plainview tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Plainview throws a jab when Johnson was well out of range.
Johnson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Plainview falls backwards - clearly groggy! Johnson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Johnson!
After winning the bout, Andy Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
