Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Deffo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jussi Hellstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jussi Hellstrom will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deffo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hellstrom is fending him off so far but Deffo persists. Nope, Hellstrom circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hellstrom has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Deffo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hellstrom.

Hellstrom is trying to trip Deffo. He has hold of a leg but Deffo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hellstrom persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Hellstrom had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Deffo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hellstrom Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Deffo's back instead.
