Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell throws a series of punches but Rua moves out of range.
Rua tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Powell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rua shoots in for a takedown but Powell shows good takedown defense.
Powell lands a two punch combo.
Powell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rua misses with a takedown attempt - Powell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nauricio Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rua wants to clinch up but Powell keeps it at a distance.
Rua takes the fight into the clinch.
Rua can't find room to land a body shot as Powell controls the action.
Rua prevents Powell from breaking the clinch.
Powell wants to get back to striking at distance but Rua won't allow it.

Rua closes the distance and clinches up with Powell, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes Powell against the cage but Powell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Powell stuffs the takedown.

Powell lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rua wants to clinch up but Powell keeps it at a distance.
Rua closes the distance and clinches up with Powell, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes Powell against the cage but Powell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rua fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rua pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rua lands a lovely overhand right.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rua.
Rua is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Powell is trying to escape and Rua transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Powell is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rua! Very nice indeed!
