Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's entrance music is Roy Jones - Can't be touched. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taylor Castillo! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castillo drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Jones stalls. Castillo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones wants to clinch up but Castillo keeps it at a distance. Castillo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Castillo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Jones wants to control but Castillo postures up. Jones is trying to get back to half guard.

Castillo happy to just control the position for now. Castillo throws a strike aimed at the side of Jones's head but Jones avoids it well. Jones is trying to get back to half guard. Jones is trying to escape the position but Castillo is controlling the position. Jones takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Castillo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones defending against the ground and pound. Castillo lands an elbow. Castillo decides to stand back up. Castillo steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones moves into range and clinches up with Castillo. Jones trying to land knees to the body.
Castillo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Castillo manages to end up in side control. Castillo trying to control the position but Jones is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Castillo is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Castillo decides to stand back up. Castillo steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones fails to land the takedown. Castillo moves into range and clinches up with Jones. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taylor Castillo dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Castillo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jones actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Castillo is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Castillo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Jones wants to get back to full guard but Castillo has passed into side control. Castillo stands up and we're back to a striking position. Chris Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Castillo slips nicely into half guard. Taylor Castillo has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice strikes from Castillo there. Jones trying to get back to full guard but Castillo takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Castillo controlling the pace for now. Castillo landing punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castillo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Castillo lands with some strikes. Castillo landing punches. Castillo controlling his opponent. Jones is in a horrible position here. Castillo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Castillo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Castillo prevents Jones from getting the reversal. Castillo breaks from Jones's wrist control and lands an elbow. Castillo controlling from the full mount. Jones defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Castillo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castillo controlling the pace for now. Castillo landing strikes from the mount. Castillo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Castillo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. BOOM! Castillo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Taylor Castillo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones blocks a head kick by Castillo.
Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Castillo defends well and Jones ends up having to push Castillo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jones is trying to pull guard but Castillo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Jones jumps guard.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Castillo from controlling successfully. Castillo sitting in guard, not really doing much. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Castillo stands up from Jones's guard - Castillo perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castillo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Castillo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Castillo tries to move to mount but Jones blocks the move with his legs. Castillo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Castillo controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Castillo stands up and we're back to a striking position. Castillo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Castillo decides to return to a standing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castillo forces Jones back against the cage and clinches. Castillo jumps guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Castillo has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up. Castillo seems keen to control Jones's posture. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones preventing the sweep. Chris Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Taylor Castillo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Castillo pulls Jones in close to his closed guard and prevents Jones from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! Taylor Castillo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Castillo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
