Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mega Funkyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burt Guth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funkyama comes into the arena with Bon Jovi: Bad Medicine blaring out of the sound system. Guth comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alva Noto - Module 7 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mega Funkyama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Burt Guth! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funkyama misses with an uppercut
and Guth counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Funkyama blocks a jab. Funkyama fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Funkyama looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Guth tries to clinch up. Funkyama gets a takedown into half guard. Funkyama looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Guth trying to control here.
Funkyama throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guth is looking for a sweep. Funkyama is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Guth is in trouble now - Funkyama has advanced to mount! Guth manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Guth, under a barage of strikes from Funkyama.

Funkyama controlling the pace for now. Funkyama throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Funkyama trying to control but he's not successful this time. Funkyama punching from mount but Guth doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Funkyama lands with some strikes. Poor strikes thrown by Funkyama there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Funkyama wants to control the pace but Guth is squirming around nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Guth is desperately trying to improve his position but Funkyama has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mega Funkyama dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Funkyama slips under a jab from Guth. A combination from Funkyama does no damage. Burt Guth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Guth scores with a punch to the head. Funkyama fails with a takedown attempt. Guth misses with a looping right. Guth scores with the left hand. Funkyama knows he should have avoided that one. Funkyama circles away from the clinch attempt.
Guth throws a head kick that misses. Guth has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Funkyama shoots in for a double leg but Guth sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Funkyama shoots for a takedown but Guth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mega Funkyama. That's going to take a lot out of him. Funkyama staying out of range there. Funkyama scores with a jab to the head.

Mega Funkyama overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Funkyama looking to sit in guard and control but Guth gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Funkyama pulls Guth in close to prevent any damage.

Guth throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Funkyama throws his legs up looking for a submission but Guth uses it to pass to side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Guth prevents Funkyama from improving his position. Funkyama has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Guth is working away from the top position though. Funkyama is trying is best to control the position here. Guth wants to take a breather but Funkyama is having none of it. Funkyama desperately trying to maintain half guard. Funkyama won't allow Guth to pass to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Funkyama wants to control but Guth is keeping busy.
Mega Funkyama has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Guth tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Guth lands with a nice combination. Funkyama backs away looking to recover. Funkyama looks to score with a jab to the body but Guth is just out of range. Guth wants to clinch. Guth wants to clinch. A close second round but Burt Guth will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Funkyama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Guth, who protects the arm well. Guth is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Funkyama. Guth is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Funkyama throws an elbow but Guth slips to the side and avoids it well. Funkyama cracks Guth with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Funkyama is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Guth has escaped the position, nice work there. Funkyama trying to control the action but Guth is working from the bottom. Guth tries to buck Funkyama off but Funkyama is having none of it. Guth is not content to let Funkyama control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Funkyama in side control lands a decent elbow. The referee asks Funkyama politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Funkyama prefers to stall for the moment though. Funkyama looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Guth is avoiding damage well.
Guth is being controlled here. Funkyama lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guth is trying to control Funkyama's posture but Funkyama avoids it. Funkyama has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Funkyama tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Funkyama misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Guth is looking to reverse the position. Funkyama throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Guth works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
And that's the end of the fight! Mega Funkyama showed his dominance in that final round. I think Funkyama has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
