Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darin Cooley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christian Bender!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender shoots for a takedown but Cooley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bender closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cooley did well to prevent Bender getting side control.
Cooley wants to control but Bender is keeping busy.
Cooley tries to kick Bender off but Bender keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Bender is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cooley defends it well.
Bender is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cooley has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Bender. Oh but Cooley has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Bender goes limp - he's gone! Cooley jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
