Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Mcgowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caelus Nox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nox comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Why cant we be freinds kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelo Mcgowan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Caelus Nox! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcgowan gets caught napping as Nox dives in and scores a takedown. Mcgowan manages to retain guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nox wants to control from the top but Mcgowan keeps moving. Mcgowan wants to sweep but no luck. Mcgowan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nox off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Nox drives through with a takedown into Mcgowan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Nox trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcgowan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nox postures up.
Nox won't allow Mcgowan to sweep him here. Mcgowan wants to stand up but Nox is controlling him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcgowan has his hands on Nox's head, controlling the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mcgowan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nox to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nox lands a couple of elbows. Nox gets to his feet - Mcgowan follows without any prompting. Mcgowan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nox defends well and Mcgowan ends up having to push Nox into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mcgowan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nox's efforts to push away. Mcgowan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Nox is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mcgowan can't fight it off and eventually Nox manages to take the fight to the floor. Mcgowan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mcgowan is trying to control the position but Nox postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nox lands a couple of elbows. Mcgowan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nox trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcgowan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mcgowan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mcgowan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nox is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcgowan pulls his head out easily. Mcgowan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Nox is trying to maintain the position but Mcgowan is very close to passing his half guard. Mcgowan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Nox is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcgowan pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mcgowan is trying to control the action in half guard but Nox is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nox looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nox blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mcgowan. Nox trying to hold on to Mcgowan's head to control him but Mcgowan postures up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nox fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A punch combination from Nox misses. Caelus Nox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nox closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcgowan's guard. Nox is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Caelus Nox dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nox feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mcgowan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcgowan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nox is controlling him. Mcgowan wants to sweep but no luck. Nox stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mcgowan throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Some wild striking there from Nox.
Nox swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nox scores with a takedown into Mcgowan's guard. Nox wants to stand and escape but instead Mcgowan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nox had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mcgowan defends it easily. Mcgowan is stalling in the full guard. Mcgowan trying to control but Nox is working from the bottom. Nox escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcgowan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcgowan defends well. Mcgowan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mcgowan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marcelo Mcgowan. Mcgowan fails in his attempt to clinch. Nox shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nox showed some decent athleticism there. Nox seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgowan wants to control but Nox is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nox is trying to control. Mcgowan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mcgowan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Mcgowan shoots in and drives through. Nox sprawls well. Nox gets a takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nox lands a nice short elbow. Nox stands up from half guard. Nox forces Mcgowan back against the cage and clinches.

Mcgowan wants to control but Nox is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mcgowan tries to roll over but Nox keeps him under control. Nox perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Nox passes into side control, despite Mcgowan's attempt to control the position.
Mcgowan is looking to regain half guard here but Nox keeps moving and retains side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mcgowan is working hard here to advance position. Nox trying to control the action but Mcgowan is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Caelus Nox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Nox misses with a two punch combination.
Mcgowan clinches. Come on Mcgowan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Nox pulls guard. Nox keeping moving, preventing Mcgowan from controlling successfully. Nox throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Nox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcgowan defends well. Nox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mcgowan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nox is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcgowan is aware though and is defending well. Mcgowan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mcgowan passes Nox's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mcgowan stalling. Mcgowan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mcgowan in particular looking to stall. Nox is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mcgowan seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgowan wants to take a breather but Nox is having none of it. Nox is looking for a sweep. Mcgowan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nox looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mcgowan postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Nox to stand up. Mcgowan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nox sprawls well initially but Mcgowan persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Nox trying to control from the bottom.

Mcgowan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Nox is not content to let Mcgowan control the position. Nox is trying to get back to full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Marcelo Mcgowan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nox shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcgowan's guard. Nox controlling from the top position. Nox wants to get up but he can't break Mcgowan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Caelus Nox is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nox trying to control but Mcgowan is working from the bottom. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mcgowan wants to get back to his feet but Nox is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcelo Mcgowan. Well Nox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
