The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Topal misses its intended target.
Topal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Topal tries to bum rush Liu with a series of wild strikes but Liu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Liu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Liu is pushing down on Topal's leg trying to pass to half guard. Topal is fighting to maintain full guard but Liu has managed to sneak the leg through.
Liu seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Liu is tying to control. Topal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Liu could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Liu in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Topal tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Liu!
