Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Camel Monkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Camel Monkey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Richard!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richard walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Richard looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Monkey, right into the meat.
Richard ducks right into an uppercut from Monkey.

Monkey looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Richard looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Monkey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Monkey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Richard wants to control but Monkey passes easily into half guard.
Richard is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Monkey scores with a couple of nice shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Still in half guard, Monkey seems content to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Monkey wants to pass to mount but Richard is defending the position.
Monkey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Monkey drops an elbow to the side of Richard's head.

Monkey passes the guard and advances to mount!

Monkey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BOOM! Monkey connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Monkey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Monkey lands a nice shot to the head.

Monkey postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Richard looks a forlorn figure.

Richard is rocked!
Monkey cracks Richard with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Richard is still in real trouble! Can Monkey finish him?

Monkey unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Richard wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Monkey celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Camel Monkey!
A very excited looking Camel Monkey made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
