Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cyril Makarenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Perosh!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perosh walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Makarenko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Makarenko takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Perosh checks a low kick from Makarenko.
Makarenko misses with a head kick.
Makarenko will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Perosh throws a body punch but Makarenko moves out of range.
Makarenko defending well as Perosh loads up on a big left hand.
Perosh takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Makarenko has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Die Reeperbahn in the buildup to the fight.
Makarenko looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Makarenko lands a head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Makarenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Perosh throws a right and a left that both miss.
Makarenko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Makarenko looks to land a body kick but Perosh moved away.
Makarenko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Makarenko connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Perosh throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Makarenko lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Jeremy Perosh has been cut.
Makarenko scores with a hook to the body. Perosh takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Perosh steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Makarenko. That one must have hurt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Makarenko swats away the attempt to clinch by Perosh.
Makarenko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Perosh was well out of range. Poor timing from Makarenko.
Cyril Makarenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whack! Makarenko lands a heavy head kick that drops Perosh. The ref tackles Makarenko to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Perosh was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Cyril Makarenko!
