PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Laws (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Laws had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamato fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Jacob Laws has been cut. Laws uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yamato. Nice sprawl there from Yamato as Laws shoots in. Yamato lands a body shot.
Yamato lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Laws is looking to close the distance but Yamato sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Laws crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Laws is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Jin Yamato! A relieved looking Jin Yamato thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
