The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bono throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Herman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ands Bono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Herman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bono sprawls well. Bono wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Herman gets slowly back to his feet.

Bono scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Bono tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Herman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Herman wants to pass to mount but Bono is defending the position.

It looks like Herman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
