The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barac moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Barac uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Colbert.
Barac misses with a hook
and Colbert cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Barac throws a head kick that half lands.
Ivan Barac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Colbert throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barac misses the shot to the body. Barac stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Colbert shoots in for a takedown but Barac shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Barac. Colbert does a little dance to reset his feet. Barac thumps Colbert with a low kick. Barac moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Barac scores with a hook to the body. Colbert takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Colbert looks winded! Barac lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barac throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barac fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Colbert has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Barac lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Barac fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Barac scores with a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Colbert takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Barac lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Barac! A very excited looking Ivan Barac rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
