The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musick has taken the fight to the clinch.
Phelps goes for a takedown attempt but Musick pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Phelps keeps the fight on the outside.
Phelps throws a body punch but Musick moves out of range.
Phelps wants to clinch.
Musick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Musick with a poor takedown
and Phelps counters by clinching up.
Musick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Musick counters with a series of strikes. Phelps will be more careful next time no doubt.

Musick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Phelps is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Musick gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Phelps tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Phelps has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Musick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Phelps has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Musick is trying to keep an underhook but Phelps manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Phelps maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Musick could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Phelps has cracked it and Musick is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Phelps!
